Job Description

Territory Coverage: Victoria Metro and East

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a strategically important territory encompassing key metropolitan and eastern Melbourne accounts . The territory includes a mix of high-value Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology accounts with a strong focus on Biosimilar adoption, building key stakeholder relationships and supporting successful launch and growth of the biosimilar portfolio.

The Position

Seeking a high-performing and commercially minded Specialty Representative to drive the growth of our Biosimilars portfolio across key specialist accounts in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology.

Beyond the core sales role, this position offers the opportunity to engage in Marketing initiatives during a launch phase. Ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in product launches and customer engagement,

The Specialty Care Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets, market share and growth for assigned Specialty products through identification and development of customer plans. The PSR promotes products with designated customers within their state, which includes metropolitan and rural areas.  Some travel is required. 

Responsibilities

  • Building long-term, trusted business relationships with relevant stakeholders i.e Specialists, HCPs, nurses and pharmacists.
  • Understanding of Hospital / Account systems and structures
  • Demonstrating competence in technical information whilst implementing product sales strategies to customers.
  • Displaying selling skills that understand and meet customer needs by delivering tailored solutions. • Interacting with individual customers or groups of customers using a variety of multimedia technologies.
  • Achieving call volume, frequency & coverage expectations on target customers.
  • Coordinating and implementing and sponsoring Medical Education Meetings in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
  • Utilising sales analysis tools to develop Territory Business Plans and implement sales activities that maximise high-potential areas of the business.
  • Utilising the designated CRM system to record call activity and enhance customer relationships. PSRs are responsible for meeting requirement to enter call and activity notes within 24 hours of call. • Working flexibly, with occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Travelling to country/regional areas and to sales conferences as required.
  • Ensuring effective communication within the sales team and across other key internal stakeholders.
  • Attending and actively participating in sales team meetings, including national business meetings. • Consistently demonstrating strong leadership and sound judgement.
  • Ensuring all administrative activities, including expenses, are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrating sound financial stewardship and stewardship of all Company property.
  • Working in compliance with the Medicines Australia code of conduct and the Company’s internal compliance guidelines for medical representatives at all times.
  • Keeping up to date with and complying with relevant Company policies and procedures as may be amended from time to time.
  • Maintaining discretion with company-confidential information. Key Performance Indicators

Required Experience

  • 3-5+ years experience in Specialty sales roles of increasing responsibility
  • Life Science or Business degree
  • Experience in Gastroenterology or Rheumatology space preferred but not required
  • Exposure to other medical or pharmaceutical environments an advantage.
