The Impact of the Sr Analytics Engineer / Data Modeler to Coupa and its customers:
We are seeking an experienced Sr Analytics Engineer / Data Modeler to join our team, leveraging modern data warehousing architecture on Snowflake, DBT, Tableau, and core SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, with at least 6 years of experience working with the modern data stack. The role requires proficiency in Python and/or Ruby, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams based in the USA. As a leader in best practices, the candidate will guide other developers, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions. This is an offshore position.
What You'll Do:
- Create and manage data marts and star schemas to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Collaborate with US-based teams to gather and understand business requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain data models using DBT, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in data modeling and ETL processes.
- Utilize Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability within the data warehouse environment.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and data warehousing.
What You'll Bring to Coupa:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with the modern data stack (DBT, Snowflake, SQL).
- Proficiency in Python and/or Ruby On Rails.
- Strong experience in data modeling, including data marts and star schemas.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring team members.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
