Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Translating Business Needs: You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions
- Designing and Building BI Solutions: You’ll design, build, and deploy BI solutions, including reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations
- Maintaining Data Analytics Platforms: You’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining data analytics platforms (e.g., MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, AZURE)
- Crafting Queries and Data Retrieval: You’ll execute queries upon request to retrieve relevant data for analysis in AZURE
- Creating Databases: BI Developers create and manage databases to store data efficiently
- Data Analysis and Visualization: You’ll develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards to present insights effectively
- Collaborating with Teams: BI Developers work closely with business analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and other IT professionals
- Troubleshooting and Improving BI Systems: Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data-driven solutions is essential
- Degree in Computer Science/IT, or related with 12 years’ experience as BI developer with Power BI and Azure, Teradata, hadoop
- Full life-cycle implementation experience: Requirements gathering, conception & design, development, implementation, deployment and driving user adoption
- Strong Knowledge of BI Tools: Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
- Database Management Skills: Expertise in database management systems (DBMS) and a strong command of SQL
- ETL Experience: Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools. Azure skills is a must have
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge in reporting is needed
- Automation Skills: Experience with automation tools and processes
- Data Warehouse Knowledge: Understanding of data warehouse architecture
- Data Formatting: Ability to format and structure data effectively
- Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a must have
- Strong organizational, communication and time/project management skills
