Job Description:

The Senior Field Marketing Manager, Southeast Asia & Oceania will establish and execute field marketing across priority defense, government, and strategic aerospace accounts throughout Southeast Asia and Oceania. This person will drive account-based marketing programs, support strategic capture efforts, and generate measurable pipeline impact in close partnership with regional Sales, Business Development, and Capture teams.

Based in Australia and reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, Middle East / Asia, this role will have responsibility for developing and executing field marketing strategy across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and other priority markets within the region.

This is a hands-on role in a high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing account strategies and executing field programs, thrives in complex multinational government and defense sales environments, and understands how to align marketing efforts with long-cycle defense procurement processes across diverse markets.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and execute field marketing across priority defense and government accounts in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other priority Southeast Asian and Oceanian markets, tightly aligned with regional Go-to-Market priorities.
  • Develop and execute account-based marketing strategies for priority accounts, mapping buying centers and orchestrating multi-touch engagement across executive briefings, targeted campaigns, industry events, and owned customer programs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of defense procurement environments, acquisition cycles, government structures, regional security frameworks, and country-specific stakeholder landscapes across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
  • Engage key ministries, agencies, and defense organizations including, but not limited to:
  • Australian Department of Defence and Australian Defence Force
  • New Zealand Ministry of Defence and New Zealand Defence Force
  • Indonesian Ministry of Defense and Indonesian Armed Forces
  • Malaysian Ministry of Defence and Malaysian Armed Forces
  • Philippine Department of National Defense and Armed Forces of the Philippines
  • Royal Thai Armed Forces and relevant Thai defense agencies
  • Vietnam Ministry of National Defence and relevant defense organizations
  • Own strategy and execution for major defense and aerospace events across the region, prioritizing high-value account engagement, customer relationships, and executive-level meetings over brand presence alone.
  • Plan and execute owned customer events, private briefings, roundtables, and targeted engagements in partnership with Sales and Capture teams to accelerate opportunity progression.
  • Align marketing programs with regional sales objectives, pipeline targets, account plans, and strategic capture priorities to drive measurable revenue impact.
  • Own Salesforce campaign execution, including creating and managing Campaign IDs, ensuring proper campaign structure, tracking member status, and maintaining data integrity in partnership with Sales.
  • Partner closely with Sales to ensure correct opportunity association, contact mapping, and required CRM field completion to support accurate pipeline reporting and attribution.
  • Build and execute programs within Marketo, including campaign flows, audience segmentation, nurture programs, performance tracking, and marketing-to-sales workflow alignment.
  • Establish KPIs aligned to regional government and defense sales realities, including account penetration, stakeholder engagement depth, opportunity influence, pipeline contribution, and deal acceleration.
  • Partner with the Director of Field Marketing, Middle East / Asia to ensure regional programs are aligned with broader Asia Pacific and Middle East field marketing strategy, priorities, processes, and best practices.
  • Share regional insights, customer intelligence, and program learnings with the broader global Field Marketing organization to strengthen Shield AI’s overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Bring structure, accountability, and operational rigor to field marketing execution across strategically important aerospace and defense markets.

Required qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in field marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing roles, with significant exposure to government, defense, aerospace, or national security markets across Southeast Asia and/or Oceania.
  • Demonstrated success marketing into government, military, defense, or aerospace organizations in Australia and/or other priority markets across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
  • Strong understanding of defense procurement processes, long-cycle acquisition environments, government stakeholder structures, and multi-stakeholder account development across the region.
  • Proven experience leading and executing account-based marketing programs within complex enterprise, government, or strategic accounts. ABM must be a core area of expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, including campaign creation, Campaign ID management, opportunity alignment, required field governance, reporting, and close partnership with Sales teams on CRM hygiene and pipeline tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with Marketo, including campaign build, segmentation, nurture programs, performance tracking, and marketing-to-sales workflow alignment.
  • Experience executing trade shows, industry events, executive briefings, and owned customer programs in defense, aerospace, national security, or adjacent technology sectors.
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior military leaders, government stakeholders, defense industry executives, and technical evaluators across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills with Sales, Business Development, Capture, and Global Marketing teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Additional language proficiency relevant to Southeast Asia or Oceania is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Southeast Asia and Oceania as required.
