 As a Sr HSE Advisor, you will provide leadership and direction in HSE practice and compliance to facilitate Honeywell HPS (Honeywell Process Solutions) Broadmeadows plant to implement requirements, practices and programs to minimize HSE risk while maximizing business performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE standards and manage systems based on Honeywell’s requirements
  • Provide expertise for a variety of HSE procedures and operational controls
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to management and employees on work health and safety strategies, programs, systems, policies, standards, and processes
  • Develop and maintain a Management Operating Systems (MOS) including of scheduling of planned workplace, site observations, inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Facilitate the deployment of strategic and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for HSE across the districts
  • Conduct structured investigations to meet requirements of safety regulators
  • Ensure all HSE requirements are met globally
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external HSE audits, including Corporate HSE audits, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certifications
  • Drive performance on key HSE metrics such as: CBS (Common Balance Score), Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR), Corrective Action (CA) closure rates, MST system maintenance

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Degree in Engineering or qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental, Risk Management, Occupational Hygiene or other appropriate qualification related to HSE
  • 5+ years of experience in all matters related to HSE within equipment manufacturing and/or field related businesses
  • Strong background in HSE function. Solid understanding of HSE laws, regulations and best practices
  • Experience in a multinational company with a strong HSE program or management system
  • Demonstrated skills in risk-based decision making, effectively coordinating HSE and business needs
  • Experience with ISO Certifications
  • Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience undertaking audits and inspection
  • Proficient in general computer software use – word, excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong investigative, analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in advising senior managers and others on sensitive issues
  • Great tenacity and able to work in ambiguity and complex fast-paced environment required
