What You Will Achieve
The IT Operations and Global Command Center organization delivers excellence in the pursuit of those breakthroughs through industry-leading infrastructure operations performance. We ensure optimal performance of the networks, cloud and on-premise services that power Pfizer's business processes. We strive to revolutionize service dependability by applying advanced analytics to drive predictive detection, identifying potential issues with our services and intervening before they disrupt our business. We place data at the heart of what we do and apply a relentless focus on continuous improvement to enable Pfizer's business processes and patient outcomes.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Governance will lead efforts to establish and evolve governance practices across our infrastructure environment. You will be responsible for identifying and integrating industry benchmarks to drive excellence i n infras tructure services.
This position requires a forward-thinking professional who can drive strategic and tactical efforts ensuring our infrastructure ecosystem aligns with leading best practices and regulatory requirements . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve quality, performance, resilience, and user experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks and infrastructure standards that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Identify and apply relevant industry benchmarks to drive continuous improvement in service performance and quality.
  • Ensure infrastructure services adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, including SOX, GxP , and related compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to implement and test controls and drive audit readiness and response efforts.
  • Maintain awareness of key business events and critical processing windows to ensure operational alignment and readiness.
  • Sustain a continuous state of audit readiness by proactively identifying compliance gaps and risks and driving mitigation with relevant teams.
  • Oversee infrastructure change processes with an emphasis on minimizing business impact, managing risk, and ensuring service continuity.
  • Define success criteria and thresholds for change performance; track outcomes and lead root cause analysis where needed.
  • Conduct structured risk assessments to evaluate and address infrastructure-related risks proactively.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results related to governance maturity and service quality.
  • Utilize internal metrics and external benchmarks to inform and prioritize data-driven improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance governance processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, or related field
  • 7 + years of experience in IT Infrastructure ( Cloud & On-prem )
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and infrastructure service management (e.g., incident, change, problem, and configuration management)
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX, GxP
  • Experience working in or with cross-functional infrastructure teams, including operations, engineering, and service management
  • Ability to interpret and use performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on root cause analysis, standardization, and continuous improvement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or infrastructure maturity assessments.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and practices
  • MBA or Master's degree in Strategy, Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently in a matrixed organization as well as in collaborative team settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments (pharma, finance, healthcare).

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Work Location Assignment: Hybrid - onsite an average of 2.5 days per week or as needed by the business
  • Travel requirements - less than 5% /year
