The Senior Power Systems Engineer leads ADMS projects, providing technical support and integration for power utilities, ensuring optimal system operation and customer training.

The RoleThis position gives you broad exposure to the entire ADMS and will focus on advanced applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO), Outage Management Systems (OMS) and Switch Order Management (SOM). In this role, you will be a primary point of contact with our customers throughout and after the project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to work across functional teams including ADMS Application Engineers, the Architecture & Product Solution teams, and our Software Development organization.Your Impact- Leads projects in the ADMS portfolio and serves as technical support expert
- Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities
- Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects
- Support testing events with the customer
- Work closely with functional development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes
- Interface with the utilities Geographic Information System (GIS) teams to extract, translate, and load the electrical network model to the Distribution Management System
- Interface with the utilities Customer Information System (CIS) teams to extract, translate, and load the customer model to the Outage Management System
- Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirement specifications and test with customers
- Support in training customers on how to operate the systems being delivered
- Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed on live systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineer or related field; degree in Electrical Engineer, Power System Engineering or a related discipline
- Min 5 years of experience in a Power System Engineering role including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications
- Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems
- Understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is preferred (Load Flow Studies, FLISR and VVC/VVO)
- Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effectively manage time, and context switch between multiple competing tasks
