You will be joining our IB&M Data Engineering team. Working with our stakeholders in the Data and Platform crew, you will help drive our commitments in our Data Strategy to achieve our vision of becoming the best AI Bank in the world to better serve our customers.

You will collaborate with industry leaders to drive forward our mission of revolutionising the fintech landscape. As part of our team, you will be empowered to deliver world-class, competitive banking products and services with unparalleled levels of service and reliability.  

We are interested in hearing from people who

  • Have solid hands-on experience with building modern data technology stacks and tooling, including database experience with Snowflake, Redshift and Aurora

  • Can create technology blueprints and engineering roadmaps for multi-year data transformational programs.

  • Pride themselves in their understanding of data product mindset and data mesh architecture

  • Are knowledgeable of architectural patterns, cloud-native solutions on AWS, microservices architecture, solutions integration and containerisation.

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, particularly those related to data storage and processing, including S3, RDS, Redshift, DataZone and Glue.

  • Are experienced in the data development lifecycle, with a focus on data ingestion processes, data transformation pipelines, data integration, and visualisation.

  • Are knowledgeable of financial markets and/or corporate & institutional lending products is advantageous

  • Have an innate ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders from sales to technical leadership groups

  • Continuously striving to learn new skills along with a positive ‘Can-do’ attitude

Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!

  • AWS Cloud Certified at Associate or Professional level

  • Expertise in AWS compute and services including Redshift & EMR serverless, Airflow, Glue

  • Snowflake, Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL

  • Event driven architecture using Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or similar

  • Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform

  • Proficient in Python, SQL

  • Building CI/CD tooling (Github/Jenkins)

  • Experience with Parquet File Format, Iceberg tables

  • Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) 

  • Ab initio or DBT tooling  

  • Alation, Glue Data Catalogue & AWS DataZone

  • Data visualisation tools and integration to Tableau, PowerBI

  • Observability tools (i.e. Observe, Splunk or Prometheus/Grafana).
