As a Staff Quality Engineer, you’ll be a key member of BB Tech – CRM&E crew, driving our end-to-end automation and shift left ways of working. Pulling from your consultative skills you’ll engage stakeholders to assess their current state of automation maturity, design & code new automation frameworks, and educate and mentor our software engineers in key automation skills.

Using your deep expertise in quality software engineering, you’ll also ensure the right tooling, data and environments for efficient automation testing, during the build phase. With your broad range of architecture, software and platform engineering knowledge you’ll implement strategies to address more complex efficiencies across the crew.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few.

We’re interested in hearing from people who

  • Are passionate automation quality engineers with full cycle engineering skills

  • Show expertise in writing complex automation scripts, designing and coding frameworks from scratch

  • Enjoy leading the automation strategy, influencing on the shift left approach, whilst being hands-on coding when educating our software engineers

  • Offer expertise across a variety of testing solutions including, performance, NFT, API, automation, cloud, end-to-end testing processes and defect management

  • Are forward thinkers when delivering solutions to challenges faced in, pushing the boundaries with innovation and emerging technologies

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

  • Testing Frameworks such as: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Karate DSL, NUnit, Mocha and/or Jest

  • Test Automation across the technical stack: Web, Mobile, API (REST, Graphql) and/or Performance (Gatling, JMeter, K6)

  • Hands-on experience in DevSecOps and automation of service management tasks

  • Full stack technologies and coding languages such as: C#, Python, Angular, React

  • CI/CD pipelining (we use TeamCity and are moving to GitHub Actions)

  • Cloud (AWS, Azure) experience
