As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead software development for a banking platform, architecting scalable solutions and mentoring engineers.
Constantinople is the first of its kind: an all-in-one software and operational platform for banks. We provide our banking clients with a cloud-native infrastructure to host and manage their customers. We offer a comprehensive suite of banking products, together with all operational services needed to run a bank efficiently.
Constantinople’s state-of-the-art platform eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure, and replaces manual operational and compliance processes with automation at scale. By removing the operational complexity of banking, Constantinople enables its clients to focus on its customers and the business of banking.
The Role
A Staff Software Engineer at Constantinople will be a key technical leader (IC), responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions that are at the core of our banking platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect and build software that sets new industry standards for reliability, scalability, and security.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of scalable software components
- Develop and maintain critical/complex platform features
- Be responsible for cross-team initiatives and provide coaching and direction to the engineering team
- Develop and drive architectural changes across projects
- Set the standard for security across the engineering team
- Provide decisions on service performance and design implementation
Who You Are
- Have a deep understanding of the SDLC
- 8+ years of experience developing sophisticated code
- Experience with building and managing large-scale features across multiple teams
- Strong teamwork skills that foster productive relationships, adding to the company culture
- Write clean, maintainable code and ensure code reviews and best practices are followed
- Effectively handle complex problems
- Have experience with mentoring engineers
- Experience in serverless patterns on AWS / Google would be an advantage
