About the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Staff Frontend Engineer to join our Sydney team and drive the development of intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that power our global advertising platform. You’ll lead a team of three frontend engineers, mentor
them in best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver elegant solutions at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 frontend engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence
- Architect and build scalable React-based applications that power our client-facing tools
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
- Champion frontend performance, accessibility, and maintainability across the codebase
- Drive technical decision-making and contribute to long-term frontend strategy
Must-Have Qualifications
- Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Comfortable working with backend APIs and full-stack collaboration
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving delivery
- People management experience
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimisation, and testing
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with design systems or component libraries
- Exposure to advertising technology or data-heavy applications
