Own the in house toolchain that evaluates propulsion, braking, and chassis algorithms. Collaborate with controls, embedded, and systems teams to deliver objective, scalable performance assessment and continuous improvement.
ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain simulation and replay benches, data pipelines, and dashboards for large scale evaluation
Define KPIs and acceptance criteria for core features (tracking error, energy recovery, stability margins, latency, resource use)
Enable A or B, shadow, and canary testing using SIL, HIL, lab rigs, and vehicle or fleet data
Provide profiling and telemetry hooks, log schemas, and dataset curation; automate CI based regression and report generation
Partner with embedded to expose metrics and traces on target; co code analysis scripts and test harnesses with controls
Run trade studies and experiments, summarise insights, and drive decisions on calibrations and algorithm updates
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer, or related
10+ years in automotive controls or systems with a focus on evaluation and tooling
Strong Python and one of C or C++, with experience in data processing, numerical analysis, and visualisation
Experience with SIL or HIL, logging frameworks, and CI pipelines; comfortable defining KPIs and acceptance gates
Familiar with vehicle dynamics, propulsion and brake control behaviours, and calibration workflows
Base Salary Range: $120K-$260K
