Secret Media Network is a digital media group focused on recommending perfect plans, discovering great places, sharing things to do and relevant breaking news in different cities around the world. About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented Jr. Staff Writer based in Sydney to join our Australian team! As part of a dynamic and rapidly expanding startup environment, this role offers an exceptional opportunity for a journalist and social media creative to showcase their skills to a large and highly engaged audience. We are seeking someone who can craft engaging, original content about life in Australia for our Secret Media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Discover compelling stories and generate a plethora of article ideas related to Australia.
  • Write engaging, accurate, and informative editorial articles swiftly on various topics.
  • Create social media posts.
  • Develop innovative ideas for implementation across social channels.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Possesses native-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Is passionate about exploring the best and most exciting experiences Australia has to offer.
  • Has previous experience in digital writing.
  • Demonstrates a love for storytelling and content creation.
  • Has a working knowledge of social media best practices and a keen interest in staying updated on the latest trends in social media and digital platforms.
  • Exhibits a keen news sense, understanding what makes a story shareable on social media.
  • Is familiar with social and digital publishing tools, with a strong organizational approach to managing their responsibilities.
