The role

The role will be reporting to the National Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the leadership channel team. This role will lead the NSW/ACT and QLD Business Development Managers in championing and executing the channel strategy of the National Sales division.

This critical role, with a focus on growth across the states, also responsible for maintaining, growing, and leveraging existing and new partnerships within the specified region and through brokers and business referral sources in the region.

What you'll be doing
  • Development and implementation of agreed strategies that will positively impact the long-term performance and competitiveness of the organization.
  • Identify, foster and maintain key partnerships across the financial services industry while driving state targets through the broker channel.
  • Drive strong performance and capability, mentor and coach BDMs ensuring they deliver on their individual KPIs while strengthening Prospa UVP in market.
  • Enhance the BDM team’s product knowledge and upselling capabilities as Prospa products innovate and evolve.
  • Working closely with BDMs to build strategic partnerships to drive business growth and strengthen industry connections.
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and support creating tailored development plans for team members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive customer success, and growth.
  • Support the ongoing learning of BDM’s by providing an environment that promotes engagement and individual development plans.
  • Align with channel leadership team to ensure cross function collaboration across the country
What you'll need to succeed
  • 3 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, broking industry and its participants
  • Emerging leader with strong sales capability and a passion for coaching teams to exceed targets and drive performance.
  • Strong relationships in the broker industry (Aggregators & Associations)
  • Exposure to managing and growing channel partnerships (exceptional training and engagement capability).
  • Strong business acumen and keen understanding of the key motivators for business owners within the SME market.
  • Well-developed cross-functioning collaboration to implement action plans (marketing, operations, legal, finance).
  • Experience in handling commercial negotiations collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Strong listener that fosters a one team culture. Communicates well, quick learner and adaptable to take and implement feedback.
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders for mutual beneficial outcomes
  • High emotional intelligence to make informed decisions in a fast-growing company
