The Role You Could Play 

Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will lead our NSW business with full state accountability partnering closely with your Regional Managers and Store Managers to drive performance, engagement and operational excellence across the network. This role requires a leader who can seamlessly move between strategy and execution. You will build and deliver the state plan, maintain a robust project and property pipeline, and ensure disciplined “rinse and repeat” execution across every store. continued property activity across the state, this is a role for someone comfortable leading at scale balancing new store openings, operational consistency and elevated customer experience. 

  • Lead a high-performing team of Regional Managers and Store Managers to deliver exceptional service, every store, every day 

  • Own and deliver the NSW state plan, ensuring clear priorities and disciplined execution 

  • Maintain and drive the new store and property pipeline in partnership with Support Centre teams 

  • Elevate customer experience across the state, strengthening our unique retail proposition 

  • Identify opportunities to enhance store KPIs and allocate resources to maximise performance 

  • Drive operational effectiveness across a complex, multi-site network 

  • Strengthen capability through coaching, development and succession planning 

  • Champion MECCA’s values and sustain a culture that is already strong making it even better 

 

What You Will Bring 

We are seeking sustained, senior multi-site retail leadership experience at scale. Key to your experience will be: 

  • Significant State or large-region leadership experience within a complex retail environment 

  • A proven track record leading large, multi-site teams and delivering sustainable commercial results 

  • Enterprise-level accountability,  with strong commercial acumen and P&L ownership 

  • Demonstrated success managing operational rhythm and execution across a sizeable network 

  • Experience navigating property pipelines and new store openings 

  • A relentless focus on customer experience and service differentiation 

  • Strong commercial judgement with the confidence to make decisions and raise risks when required 

  • A coaching leadership style that balances care with performance 

  • Grit, resilience and the ability to lead through ambiguity - we’re ambitious and not yet perfect 

Experience in services-led retail models, VM, education or customer experience transformation will be highly regarded. 

Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for beauty and people - and the ability to connect deeply with your team to inspire belief, accountability and performance.
