As our Strategic Business Development Manager – Air Cargo, you’ll be at the forefront of driving revenue by filling unused capacity on TGE’s Express air network and additional aircraft. This is a newly created role with a strong focus on new business acquisition, key account development, and strategic sales execution.
What You’ll be Doing:
Develop and execute air cargo sales strategies aligned with TGE and TXL goals
Maximise aircraft space utilisation through agile pricing and filler product strategies
Lead charter sales across domestic and select international lanes
Build and manage a portfolio of high-volume customers including freight forwarders, direct shippers, and airline partners
Travel frequently across Australasia to meet clients, assess opportunities, and promote our network
Own the full business cycle—from lead generation to service delivery and payment
Collaborate closely with operations to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction
Monitor KPIs, track performance, and adjust strategies to meet revenue and capacity targets
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for someone with a hunter mentality, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
You’ll need:
3–8 years’ experience in air freight, forwarding, or logistics sales
A solid understanding of air cargo services, freighter aircraft types, and market dynamics
Proven ability to create compelling rate offers and close deals under pressure.
Experience managing full sales cycles and building long-term client relationships
Willingness to travel and adapt schedules to meet urgent client needs (approx 20-25%)
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain (nice to have)
