As part of our Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team, we are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Category Manager – IT to drive commercial strategy and supplier performance for our business-critical cloud and infrastructure services.

In this high-impact role, you will manage a portfolio of key IT suppliers, lead negotiations, and deliver cost-optimized, value-driven outcomes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, legal, finance, and IT, leading critical procurement decisions and shaping the future of ResMed’s IT supplier ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

🔹 Supplier & Contract Management

  • Lead strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) for cloud and infrastructure vendors, focusing on performance, governance, and value delivery.

  • Align vendor engagements with business goals, ensuring contractual compliance and milestone achievement.

  • Advise internal stakeholders on supplier performance, commercial risks, and contract management best practices.

🔹 Strategic Procurement & Category Management

  • Design and execute category strategies that support ResMed’s commercial and technical objectives.

  • Drive cost efficiency and sustainable value creation across cloud and infrastructure procurement.

  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to build and re-enforce effective procurement policies.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements to secure favourable terms, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency across supplier engagements.

🔹 Stakeholder Collaboration & Cost Optimization

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on high-value IT procurement matters.

  • Lead RFP processes, gather business requirements, and influence decision-making through data-driven sourcing strategies.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of cost structures, contractual frameworks, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing strategies.
     

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field (MCIPS / ISM certification is a plus).

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT cloud and infrastructure procurement, with a proven record managing high-value, business-critical IT contracts.

  • Expertise in supplier relationship management, category strategy, and contract negotiations.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive value and manage procurement risks.

  • Confident communicator and influencer with strong stakeholder engagement skills across legal, finance, and IT functions.

  • Passion for structured, efficient, and value-led procurement processes in a fast-paced global environment.
