About the role:
This position is working in a dynamic, high performing, enthusiastic and motivated team within a fast-growing firm and division. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our Sydney practice. The day to day role will be to maintain up to date bookkeeping and finance functions for our client’s. This role would also have a large part in assisting with our fast growing Strategic Outsourcing Offering with a heavy focus on automation, value add services and client relationships. On the job training, mentoring, technical and soft skill training provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing daily transactions for a range of different industries from small to medium businesses, foreign inbound and large local corporations,
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts payable processing
- Accounts receivable processing
- Payroll and superannuation processing.
- Preparation of Instalment Activity Statements, Business Activity Statements and multistate payroll tax.
- Assistance with preparation of month end management accounts
- Assist managers with drafting client email communications and liaise with clients.
- Workflow management and working with managers to track deliverables and meet client and regulatory deadlines.
- Set up and maintenance of client accounting and finance systems.
- Preparation of month end management reporting with accuracy and timely to meet client deadlines.
- Train and review junior team members work.
- Review of client WIP and monthly billings.
About you:
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- 2 to 3 years in a similar role
- Preferable experience within either Xero, MYOB Account Right live or Quickbooks online.
- Ability to work in a team environment, autonomously and great communication skills
- Process, deadline driven and the ability to multitask.
- Intermediate/advanced experience with Microsoft office packages mainly Excel
- Beneficial to be aware or have used cloud-based accounting apps, Dext, Hubdoc, Employment Hero Pay (Formerly known as KeyPay).
- Strong work ethic; and
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
- Completion of TAFE Certification IV Account diploma of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Preferred but not essential - In progress or having completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting.
