Your Role & TeamWe’re seeking a Strategy Manager to join our newly created Strategy function.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company's strategic vision. You will work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities, support product planning and develop actionable plans.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in strategy formulation and technology.
You'll report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in this role. Please note, it's a full-time opportunity offering hybrid working conditions out of our Sydney CBD Office.
Some of your responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and broader SLT to develop and refine the company's overall strategic plan, owning the process from end-to-end including check-ins, developing key strategic artefacts updating key documents and providing regular updates.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis and trend assessments to inform strategic decision-making.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to achieve organisational goals.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies to drive business growth.
Executive Support:
- Provide timely, decision-ready analysis to the CSO and CEO in support of growth, prioritisation and capital allocation decisions.
- Prepare briefs, presentations, and reports for executive meetings, including board meetings and SLT strategy offsites in a clear and compelling manner.
Business Analysis:
- Evaluate and assess key business metrics and performance indicators.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with stakeholders to implement strategic solutions.
- Analyse financial data to support strategic initiatives and business development.
Opportunity Assessment:
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed initiatives, including clear investment requirements and ROI.
- Provide recommendations based on thorough analysis and strategic considerations.
- Frame trade-offs clearly, including downside risks and opportunity cost.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with all departments to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
- Facilitate strategic discussions and workshops to gather input from various stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative environment to drive cross-functional initiatives.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop systems to monitor and report on strategic initiatives working closely with the finance team and the FP&A function.
- Track and analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in management consulting, preferably within the technology sector.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and executive-ready outputs.
- Solid financial modelling and presentation skills creating Excel models that lead to great decisions.
