About the role
The Strategy & Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Splends strategic processes. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Planning, the role contributes to the design, analysis, and delivery of key initiatives that drive growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation across the business.
This role is responsible for gathering and analysing data, preparing strategic and financial models, developing business cases, and supporting the coordination of enterprise-wide projects. The role provides an opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to strategic decision-making at a high-growth, purpose-driven company leading Australia’s transition to green mobility.
Responsibilities
- Support reviews and assessments of Splends operating model
- Conduct structured analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
- Gather and interpret market, industry, and competitive intelligence
- Develop financial and operational models to evaluate business opportunities and initiatives
- Prepare data visualisations and reports
- Assist in preparing strategic and commercial business cases
- Support sensitivity analyses and scenario modelling
- Develop presentations and papers for executive and board-level decision-making
- Work cross-functionally to track progress of key initiatives
- Maintain dashboards and progress reports
- Identify potential risks and issues early, escalating as appropriate
- Support development and tracking of KPIs across major strategic initiatives
- Help monitor progress against the Strategic Plan
What you’ll bring
- 2-4 years’ experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or a related analytical role
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with BI tools advantageous)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into concise insights
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn from senior leaders while taking ownership of deliverables
