Job description
The Student Support & Compliance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for students at the Sydney and Melbourne campuses. The role is responsible for helping Navitas and Charles Sturt University achieve efficient, effective and compliant delivery of student and academic administrative processes for CSUSM students in line with CSU Policies and Procedures.
The position will coordinate the management of compliant student services at the Charles Sturt Sydney and Melbourne campuses and contribute to the management of key relationships with administration staff and other functional areas across Navitas, the campus and the University.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the timely management of compliance activities relating to international student admissions and enrolment cases
- Work with the CSUSM academic team and Student and Academic Services Manager to coordinate the development of student centric timetables for the Sydney and Melbourne campuses
- Contribute to strategies to ensure accurate student records in Banner and CRM are maintained in accordance with compliance and CSU policies and procedures
- Regularly quality assure that student records are maintained in a compliant and consistent manner and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives when issues are identified
- Contribute to the development and implementation of consistent, streamlined and high-quality student and academic services.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant ESOS, National Code, CSU policies, procedures and regulations to provide accurate advice to students and staff.
- Provide expertise and guidance to staff on complex student cases or enquiries by utilising policies, procedures, legislation, student rules, regulations and documented user procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in student and academic services.
- Ensure compliance with existing agreements between Charles Sturt University and Navitas, with a focus on student related CSU policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Completion of a secondary qualification(s) and relevant work experience.
- Experience in student administration or student services or student compliance in the tertiary education sector.
- Empathy for and experience in working with international students.
- Demonstrated evidence of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and an ability to build and maintain effective business relationships and networks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles and ability to implement them at the strategic and/or or operational level.
