Role: Study Start-Up Lead

Location: Sydney (Australia) - home-based with occasional office attendance for business meetings

As a Study Start-Up Lead, you will play a key role in accelerating the delivery of transformative therapies to patients, driving country-level study start-up activities from planning to Green Light. You will work with high-performing global and local teams, champion innovation in start-up processes, and gain exposure to cutting-edge clinical trials in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead country-level study start-up activities from country allocation to Green Light across assigned projects

  • Prepare, review, and finalise IRB/IEC and Health Authority submissions, including handling amendments and responding to queries

  • Ensure timely site selection, start-up milestone delivery, and inspection-ready TMF documentation

  • Partner closely with Global Study Teams, Feasibility Managers, Site Partnerships, and Portfolio Leads to meet timelines and deliverables

  • Implement innovative, efficient start-up processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field (minimum requirement)

  • Proven experience in Study Start-Up / Regulatory Operations within CRO, pharmaceutical or biotechnology clinical research in Australia

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within trial start up , including managing or mentoring teams and leading cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP, regulatory frameworks, and ethics committee requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines, submissions, and country-level start-up deliverables

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment

  • Passionate about operational excellence, innovation, and patient impact
