Position Overview

The Supply Chain Finance Junior Analyst supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Hunter Douglas' manufacturing and supply chain operations in Australia and New Zealand. This role provides critical insight into operational costs, efficiencies, and variances, enabling data-driven decisions. The role contributes directly to MBOs through the delivery of accurate financial insights that impact cost control, productivity, and strategic initiatives. 

What you'll do

  • Assist with month-end reporting, including journal entries and reconciliations related to manufacturing cost centers.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports (e.g., labour utilization, waste, OEE).
  • Maintain and monitor standard cost data and analyze production variances and COGS.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for supply chain teams.
  • Build cost models for new manufacturing scenarios and assist with variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial implications of initiatives and supplier contracts.
  • Provide financial support for audits, compliance, ESG initiatives, and DoA adherence.
  • Partner with Plant Managers and Procurement to drive cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned

Who you are

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a finance support role; experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic modeling) and familiarity with ERP systems like JDE or D365.
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and collaborative team player.
  • Committed to accuracy, integrity, and compliance in financial reporting.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present financial data to varied audiences.
  • Results-oriented with time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to understand manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement.
