Job Description

About the Job

Are you a strategic supply chain leader who thrives on solving complex network challenges and translating strategy into execution? Are you ready to shape the future operational footprint of a global, sustainability‑led organisation?

As Supply Chain Program Manager – Network and Strategy, you will play a critical role in designing and executing CHEP Australia’s network optimisation and property portfolio strategy. You will lead end‑to‑end strategic programs that ensure our network evolves in line with business growth, customer needs, and sustainability objectives.

Working closely with senior leaders across Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Property, this role is accountable for maintaining a forward‑looking 10‑year network plan, progressing strategic site builds and optimisation initiatives, and ensuring investment decisions are underpinned by robust business cases and disciplined execution.

This role provides high visibility to the Supply Chain Leadership Team and contributes directly to both Australian and Global Supply Chain strategy.

What's Expected of You?

  • Develop and maintain CHEP Australia’s network strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and update the 10-year future network plan to align to business priorities and changing customer needs, to deliver the annual strategic business goal/OKR.
  • Manage strategic projects focused on network optimization including new site builds in conjunction with Operational Leads.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to validate business cases and track delivery against targets.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT) on network performance and future requirements.
  • Manage the property portfolio by partnering with external consultants and procurement
  • Drive the subco/3PL strategy and partner with procurement and operations on the execution of the plan.
  • Own the supply chain strategy and ensure connections into the Australian and Global Strategy

What will ensure your success

  • Experience delivering strategic projects and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Proven program/project management capability and execution discipline.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain network design, optimization, and modelling techniques.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.

  • Qualifications: Degree-level business, engineering, or supply chain qualifications or deep expertise in the field; advanced modelling skills desirable.

Join our team to be part of an international growth company with an advantaged and highly sustainable business model. You’ll be working for a company that is changing the way goods get to market. You’ll optimize 300,000 supply chains instead of just one. You’ll join an efficient and collaborative team who punches above its weight. You’ll be working for the good of humanity.
