Are you an experienced program manager who thrives in complex, cross‑functional environments and enjoys turning strategy into measurable results? Are you motivated by leading high‑impact initiatives that shape how a national supply chain operates?
As Supply Chain Program Manager – Strategic Projects, you will partner with Supply Chain leadership and operational teams to plan and deliver a portfolio of strategic initiatives that mitigate risk, unlock efficiencies and maximise performance across the CHEP Australia network.
This role owns the end‑to‑end Strategic Projects program, including cost‑out initiatives, global supply chain programs and continuous improvement efforts. You will provide governance, structure and discipline across the project portfolio while supporting leaders to successfully execute initiatives that deliver tangible business outcomes.
The role requires strong stakeholder influence, commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple programs concurrently in a dynamic, data‑driven environment.
What’s expected of you:
Program manage the annual strategic projects portfolio; build a forward pipeline aligned to Supply Chain Strategy.
Lead the Supply Chain Efficiencies cost‑out program and track delivery to annual financial targets, identifying risks and corrective actions.
Partner with Finance to report monthly results and recommendations to the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT).
Coach and enable project leads across Supply Chain; embed consistent portfolio management practices.
Drive implementation plans for initiatives critical to our network performance and customer value.
Own portfolio sequencing and resourcing; engage internal/external stakeholders and maintain clear sponsor communications.
Lead selected global programs in‑region (e.g., Decarbonisation, ZPW), ensuring milestone delivery (including initiatives such as Solar and Electric Forklifts).
Support business case development to ensure consistency and strategic alignment across Supply Chain.
What will ensure your success
Deep knowledge of local business environments, supply chains, markets and customers.
A track record delivering whole‑of‑business projects and change initiatives in a national network environment.
Strong program/project management capability and execution discipline.
Excellent written communication, presentation and stakeholder influence skills.
Data analysis and interpretation skills to inform decisions and recommendations.
Qualifications: project management certification desirable.
