We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia to make a difference as our Supply Chain Specialist in the Consumer Electronics - Home Appliances team.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective forecast model based on customer and market demand in order to drive maximum forecast accuracy. This role will own the end-to-end demand planning and forecast management, including but not limited to aged inventory management, out of stock management, delivery fulfilment in Ditsy and Retailers to enhance customer experience.
You will also interface between the HA Product and Sales team, its customers and internal stakeholders to drive and own new logistics innovations and the overall last mile experience for customers.

Role and Responsibilities

SCM & Demand Planning

  • Demand Forecast Management through the coordination of short, mid and long term forecasting with key stakeholders in the business

  • Lead our weekly Supply Chain Management (SCM) meetings for each category and provide a clear view on logistics progress for current and future months in comparison with business targets

  • Adjust quantities line by line and week by week to HQ’s weekly stock report (referred as RTF)

  • Provide accurate Week of Stock (WOS) data based on sell-in and sell-out simulation

  • Lead Demand and Supply Forecasting planning process with Product Marketing team to drive optimal levels of inventory to support mutual goals associated with WOS and in-stock metrics in order to prevent Aged Inventory

  • Provide weekly/monthly updates on sales status and expectation, analysing shortfall and oversales causes.

Logistics & Fulfilment

  • Works closely with Logistics Inbound Team to manage inbound capacity, Good Receive(GR) on time, container diversions, and stock transfers in line with customers’ required delivery date (RDD) schedule.

  • Manages the release of Factory manufacturing orders in order to attain the fulfillment of customer orders in a timely manner

  • Support stocks allocation in line with Sales Forecast and follow up DO creation. Provide weekly tracking information for Outbound Sales

  • Collaborate with our logistics 3PL (SDS)’s Transport team to prioritise outbound stock and help reducing customer RDD delays

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience

  • Understand end-to-end inventory/logistics management

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage key stakeholders in a cross functional environment

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Experience in vendor management and project management

  • Highly desirable for Korean speaking background but not mandatory
