The Opportunity

You’ll be a key member of a major water project, helping to provide a more efficient and integrated water system to cater to the growth of NSW and maintain and enhance outstanding environmental outcomes. This water projects is delivering services across the full water cycle, delivering major pipelines, large pumping stations, advanced water, wastewater and recycling treatment.

As the Sustainability Coordinator you will provide technical advice, undertake sustainability assessments, sustainability rating submissions and participate in multi-disciplinary teams across this project and others nationally.

Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability data and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in sustainability programs such as Workforce Culture & Wellbeing Plan and Diversity Equity & Inclusion Plan working groups.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in development and implementation of Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
  • Collaborating with other departments to align waste management initiatives with project priorities
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with other project functions and support the communication of sustainability matters to management and project staff
  • Provide support to the Sustainability Manager on development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, policies and plans.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience in the field of sustainability from a building services, mechanical/electrical engineering, transport, water, construction or infrastructure background. They will be delivery focused, climate change literate, understand environmental regulations and Green Star or Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) sustainability rating tools.
