The System Administrator role in the CT Projects Team is designed for an experienced, hands-on systems professional. This position suits an in-house IT manager or similar who has worked across varied and dynamic environments and is ready to take on client-facing project delivery work. 

You will be responsible for building, configuring, and troubleshooting systems across modern infrastructure stacks, including cloud and on-premise solutions. The work involves both strategic implementations and the occasional on-site support where required. 

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Deliver Level 2-3 build, configuration, and troubleshooting across client systems including:
    • Virtual Machines and Virtualisation Platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
    • Hybrid/Microsoft 365 Environments.
  • Perform Intune implementations and endpoint management.
  • Support Office 365 migrations and configuration.
  • Provide occasional site-based support as required during project rollouts.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Project Engineers to ensure seamless implementation and handover to BAU.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for all systems and project tasks.
  • Build automation scripts and efficiencies into repeatable work where possible.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement in systems, standards, and delivery practices.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years in a system administrator or senior IT support role 
  • Strong hands-on experience in: 
    • Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) 
    • Public Cloud Service Offering's 
    • Intune and/or SCCM device management 
    • Windows Server (2012–2019), Active Directory, Group Policy 
    • Virtualisation technologies: VMware and/or Hyper-V 
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) 
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam 
  • PowerShell scripting capabilities for automation and configuration tasks 
  • Exposure to shared storage and server hardware configuration 
  • Client-facing experience and ability to engage directly with end users and stakeholders 
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of outcomes, and handle changing project requirements
