More about the role
This role has end-to-end responsibility across the Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands), with an equal focus on pre-sales leadership and post-sales delivery.
Pre-Sales
- Lead and manage a team of Proposal Managers, Estimators, and Systems Architects to deliver high-quality, competitive tenders.
- Ensure all commercial, technical, and compliance requirements are defined, validated, and aligned to scope, cost, and delivery capability.
- Provide technical leadership during sales engagements, customer presentations, and proposal development.
- Review, validate, and approve system architectures, control designs, and cost-aligned technical solutions.
Post-Sales
- Lead the Project Management Team and Commissioning Engineers, ensuring consistent, on-time, and on-budget delivery across the region.
- Oversee detailed system design, testing, mock-ups, and commissioning (remote and on-site) to ensure system performance and integration.
- Manage external commissioning partners, providing technical direction, validating quality, and ensuring adherence to Signify standards.
- Ensure completion of commissioning, as-built, and system turnover documentation, and lead smooth handover to Customer Satisfaction (CSAT).
Across the Full Lifecycle
- Maintain accountability for system quality, cost control, and performance against budget.
- Collaborate closely with sales, architecture, and delivery stakeholders to support quotes, variations, and upgrades.
- Prepare and deliver customer training, user instructions, and operational manuals to support successful handover and ongoing operation.
- Provide post-project technical feedback to Architecture and Systems & Services teams to drive continuous improvement of standards and building blocks.
More about you
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in system design, commissioning, and technical delivery within sales or service environments, including integrated control systems and coordination of external commissioning partners.
- Demonstrated capability to validate delivered solutions, ensuring all system building blocks operate to specification.
- Proven people leadership experience, with responsibility for managing and developing technical or project delivery teams.
- Experience leading delivery of large, complex projects, with accountability for quality, cost control, and system performance against budget.
- Relevant professional certifications in system engineering, control systems, or project management (e.g. PMP, Certified Systems Engineer).
