  • Work on non-production and production environments: monitoring, data collection and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement, and platform automation
  • Respond to internal support requests, pages and alerts to investigate issues in our services to challenge your technical abilities
  • Participate in paid 24x7 on-call rotation to support our platforms
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to accomplish Trust and Security initiatives and objectives through deployment of custom and third-party tools

On your first day, we will expect you to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration with hands-on experience administering and management of *nix systems
  • 1+ year of administering Jira Software or Jira Service Management
  • 1+ year of experience building, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS using EC2, RDS/Aurora, IAM, S3, VPC or other cloud providers' equivalent services
  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and requests for production services serving 100+ users
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo, Argo Workflows, GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of how to deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code on AWS and how to use configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
  • Instrument monitoring metrics and statistics for production systems
  • Experience managing 3rd party software systems that require vendor engagement

It would be awesome, but not required if you have:

  • Experience with administration of Jira Assets and Analytics
  • Hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator
  • Experience building automation and reusable golden configuration/builds/images other teams can benefit from
  • Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing
  • Hands-on experience with logging and metrics observability suites (e.g. Splunk Observability/SignalFX, Datadog, ELK)
  • Experience using data and metrics to evaluate new technologies and technical directions. Familiarity with analytics platforms, such as Databricks or AWS EMR, would be a plus
  • Familiarity with third-party cybersecurity solutions would be a huge bonus, specifically Tenable Nessus, Stamus Suricata IDS, Tines, CrowdStrike Falcon, BURP Enterprise, Snyk, Fleet, OSQuery, Lacework, or similar.
