What is the role 

We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Systems Engineer who has experience working for an IT Systems Integrator or Managed Service Provider. Working full time (38 hours) Monday to Friday.

A mix of working from our client sites, home and, the Muswellbrook office. This role would suit someone living between Maitland and Scone, or willing to relocate. Competitive salary, travel options available and paid overtime.

This role is responsible for providing technical solutions for our clients, including problem resolution, product installation, configuration, testing and product/service recommendations.

With our front line team taking care of triaging, you will service clients suited to your professional skillset, ensuring a positive experience for both you and the client. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Implementation of Windows Servers, Azure, Office 365, Exchange, Networks and Virtual environments
  • Assisting in planning and managing roll-outs
  • Providing on-site and remote support to customers
  • Managing tickets, job priorities and process incoming calls, ensuring SLA's are met
  • Reporting on trends in the market and within the customer base, staff progress and new initiatives

Who we are looking for 

This is a customer facing role who will need to have excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being highly technical. The role requires a large amount of autonomy, so a candidate who has good time management and organisational skills will be heavily favoured. Technical skills required include:

  • Windows Server – 20XX – setup, administration, support and maintenance
  • Exchange Server 2013/16/19 setup, support and administration
  • Office 365 – experience with migrations, in particular hybrid configurations between Exchange and Office 365
  • Remote Desktop/Terminal Server/Citrix setup, support and administration
  • Veeam, StorageCraft, Backup Exec setup, support and administration
  • Basic network troubleshooting – experience with basic network protocols, any Cisco router experience will be highly regarded
  • Basic telephone system support – any experience highly regarded
  • Experience with remote support tools – TeamViewer, Remote Desktop Manager etc
  • VMWare
