What success looks like in this role:
As Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will be responsible for owning and driving the full end-to- end recruitment process across a broad spectrum of roles and will support multiple areas of business. You will predominantly be focused on attracting, sourcing, screening and hiring technical talent. You will work independently and collaborate with various cross-functional teams to deliver results in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
To be successful, this role requires an individual with strong market knowledge, a breadth of technical/non-technical, sales and Leadership recruiting experience, as well as the ‘gravitas’ to be able to effectively manage and influence senior stakeholders. You will need to be adaptable, proactively champion change and process improvement, harness excellent people skills and the ability to "read the room"—understanding nuances in conversations, stakeholder expectations and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Talent Acquisition
Lead recruitment efforts with a solution-oriented, consultative and data-driven approach.
Understand business requirements and objectives; translate these into appropriate hiring strategies in support of securing top talent to meet business needs.
Drive full-spectrum external recruiting delivery across Technical, Non-Technical, Leadership and sales roles as required - primarily across Australia & New Zealand, but supporting other countries within APAC as needed.
Stakeholder & Candidate Engagement
Always Keep Stakeholder and Candidate experience top of mind. Strive for excellence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, executives, and cross-functional teams to shape and evolve recruitment strategies.
Read the room and interpret nuances to effectively manage expectations.
Demonstrate exceptional people skills—adapting to different personalities and business cultures.
Market Expertise & Talent Attraction Strategy
Deep expertise in the Australia & New Zealand talent market is essential. As is local knowledge of the Canberra market specifically.
Collaboration & Agility
Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to implement hiring solutions.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and demonstrate resilience in a fast-moving environment.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Must be an Australian Citizen.
Self-driven & Independent – You can execute with minimal guidance and do more with less instruction.
A Strong Collaborator and Team Player – You lead and influence hiring without direct authority, can work effectively autonomously and as part of a broader team.
A Solutions-Focused Thinker – You find creative solutions rather than fixating on problems and are capable of looking at the ‘bigger picture’.
People-Savvy & Adaptable – You can engage with executives, hiring managers, and candidates across cultures with empathy and awareness.
