Are you passionate about talent and eager to make a significant impact? We are looking for a Talent Development Specialist to join our Executive Talent Team. This broad and exciting role supports the design and delivery of strategic talent initiatives for our executives. 

About the Role: 

This is a unique opportunity to work within a small, dedicated team of talent acquisition and development professionals. We design and deliver a bespoke, best-in-class experience for executives covering all stages from recruitment through onboarding, development, and succession. As part of our progressive People, Culture and Communications team, you will contribute to making Telstra one of Australia's best places to work.

Key Responsibilities: 

Executive Development and Onboarding: Develop tools and initiatives to accelerate development and performance. Coordinate development and onboarding activities, assisting Talent Partners to provide a bespoke, high-touch experience for executives 

Talent Mobility and Succession: Analyse and manage data to provide an informed view on bench strength and succession risks. Contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to proactively mobilise our workforce and close succession gaps. 

Data Analytics and Reporting: Leverage workforce intelligence and data analytics to inform talent strategies. Maintain executive talent metrics and reporting for senior stakeholders. 

About You: 

The person who will thrive in this role will: 

  • Have experience working in organisational development - ideally in talent management or development in a large and complex organisation.  

  • Be skilled in creating organisational systems and processes that help employees achieve their potential. 

  • Have a passion for working with data and be able to synthesise information from a wide range of sources to draw insights. 

  • Be able to work with close attention to detail as well as zoom out to understand broader strategic priorities.  

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with senior stakeholders. 

  • Be intellectually curious, adaptable, and a self-starter. 

  • Demonstrate a commitment to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
