WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we’ve since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company; managing $18B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo); spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations.

The Living Company is reshaping the way Australians live by delivering sustainable, community-driven, and high-quality spaces across the country.

THE ROLE
As the Talent Acquisiton Manager, you’ll be our national lead for Talent Acquisition, owning the end-to-end talent strategy across Scape, Aveo and our corporate functions. You’ll balance high-volume frontline recruitment with specialist, professional, leadership and executive appointments, all across a diverse, multi-brand organisation.

You’ll lead and develop a small Talent team, act as the trusted adviser to senior leaders and hiring managers, and build a scalable, consistent and high-performing talent function from the ground up.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):

  • Leading the national Talent Acquisition strategy, from workforce planning and market mapping through to sourcing, selection and offer
  • Leading and developing a small high performing talent team, setting delivery standards and consistent recruitment practices nationally
  • Advising senior leaders and executives on talent markets, sourcing strategy, remuneration and hiring outcomes
  • Building early-career, vocational and education-sector pipelines to support future workforce needs and hard-to-fill frontline roles
  • Leading recruitment mobilisation for new properties, business units and workforce requirements
  • Driving recruitment technology, data and AI-assisted tools to lift candidate experience and hiring effectiveness

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Significant experience in a senior external recruiting, talent acquisition or talent leadership role, ideally across a large, multi-site or multi-brand organisation
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team, with a track record of building capability and consistent delivery standards
  • Experience balancing high-volume frontline recruitment with specialist, professional and executive-level hiring
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders
  • Experience with recruitment technology, systems and process optimisation, and the ability to build recruitment governance and compliance frameworks across complex environments
  • Experience within an external recruitment agency, and an innovative, creative approach to talent attraction and sourcing, will be highly regarded

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?

  • Be part of a purpose-led organisation shaping how Australians live
  • Exposure to a large, diversified living platform with real scale and complexity
  • Strong focus on wellbeing, growth, and inclusive culture
  • Competitive rewards, recognition programs, and lifestyle benefits
