GenesisCare is now looking for a Tax and Treasury Accountant to join our team, responsible to ensure tax and treasury obligations are met whilst assisting in improving processes and reporting. Working as part of a small team you will be supporting a fast-growing business; this role provides exposure to all facets of the Tax and Treasury functions and responsibilities.

Critical to your success in this role is your ability to build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external parties. You will be at ease working both collaboratively and independently.

On offer is a permanent full-time opportunity, based in Alexandria within a hybrid working model – working from the office and home.

More specifically, you will: 

Tax

  • Prepare income tax and fringe benefits tax returns.
  • Review monthly BAS.
  • Complete annual deferred tax reporting.
  • Review payroll tax obligations.
  • Implement process improvements and automated tax compliance solutions.
  • Provide ad hoc advice.

Treasury

  • Assist in maintaining the group’s transaction banking obligations (bank account management and bank account platform management) and monitoring of cash balances.
  • Produce monthly reporting outputs for Finance.
  • Assist in managing liquidity and cashflow forecasting.
  • Assist in implement process improvements across Treasury’ activities including systems implementation.

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • CPA / CA qualified (or part qualified).
  • Ability to work to deadlines so that all tax and treasury reporting obligations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Tableau reporting skills desirable but no essential.
