Job Description

About the role

This newly created opportunity sits within our Finance business unit, supporting three General Managers and playing an integral part in one of SYD’s most important and high‑performing teams. It’s a challenging but highly rewarding role where you’ll help keep a complex, high‑impact function running smoothly.

As the Team Assistant, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative support in a fast‑paced environment. The role will evolve as you settle in, giving you the chance to showcase your strengths, build capability and balance independence with teamwork — all with a strong emphasis on efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage complex calendars, schedules and meetings for the General Managers and the broader Finance team.
  • Oversee the Westpac Corporate Card Management Platform, supporting cardholders and monitoring activity through the Oracle database.
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas and presentations for the GMs as required.
  • Handle incoming communications and correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain records and databases with a focus on accessibility and confidentiality.
  • Support core Finance operations, including formatting and proofreading reports, managing purchase orders, assisting with data entry, coordinating projects and helping organise team events.

About you

  • Brings a proactive, resourceful approach and enjoys solving complex or sensitive problems.
  • Displays strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and in person, with a strong service mindset.
  • Works collaboratively and builds positive relationships across the team.
  • Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Has previous corporate administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a readiness to learn new systems.
