Job DescriptionNine is looking for a Technical Analyst to join our Commercial Programmatic team!
As the digital ecosphere pivots to automation, the Commercial Programmatic team drives revenue, maintains external relationships with buyers and educates all internal stakeholders on programmatic. This mid-level analytical and operational role is critical for an experienced professional to take ownership of complex data projects, driving performance improvements and ensuring data integrity across our ad technology stack through rigorous data collection, analysis and visualisation.
Day to day you will:
- Own data quality assurance, manage data extraction methods (APIs, ETL), and establish best practices for data integrity and technical documentation across all programmatic platforms.
- Proactively drive projects to optimise platform performance (e.g., latency, yield) using sophisticated data analysis. Design strategic dashboards to translate technical findings into commercial recommendations for leadership.
- Lead the end-to-end investigation and resolution of high-priority ad serving, reporting, and revenue discrepancies with internal and external partners.
- Conduct analytical projects for inventory optimisation and act as the key commercial contact for AI initiatives, driving the adoption of tools for forecasting and pricing optimisation.
What you’ll bring:
- A degree in a relevant analytical, technical, or quantitative field
- Professional experience in a technical, analytical, or programmatic trading related role.
- High proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets and performing complex data manipulation and analysis.
- Proven ability to quickly master complex ad technology platforms and technical workflows (APIs, JSON, basic HTML/JavaScript concepts).
- A keen interest and demonstrable passion for AI
- Expertise with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and experience in building strategic executive-level dashboards.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation or data manipulation (e.g., Python/R).
Desired but not essential:
- Familiarity with Ad Servers (Google Ad Manager, Freewheel), SSPs, DSPs, and the mechanics of programmatic advertising (e.g., header bidding).
- Understanding of Streaming TV or video ad serving/ad insertion.
