Job Description

  • Be uniquely you, come as you are

  • Corporate benefits

Are you a passionate and skilled Technical Business Analyst with a knack for understanding complex systems and a drive for continuous improvement?

The Observability Technical Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in maturing our observability capabilities. This is a hybrid role that combines the disciplines of business analysis, project management, and technical consultation, with a primary focus on the Dynatrace platform.

The Observability Technical BA is the central point of contact for our application and business teams, responsible for understanding their monitoring needs, translating them into technical requirements, and managing the end-to-end process of onboarding applications onto Dynatrace. The role directly contributes to improving application performance, enhancing user experience, and reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) for incidents.

Sound good? Read on.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to define comprehensive observability requirements, conduct workshops, and translate business needs into technical specifications for Dynatrace configurations (dashboards, alerting, synthetic monitors, custom metrics).
  • Project Management & Onboarding: Lead the full lifecycle of application onboarding onto Dynatrace, from discovery to go-live. Develop project plans, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth communication and coordination between teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of Dynatrace features and observability trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our platform and processes. Gather user feedback to drive ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar hybrid role.
  • Proven, hands-on expertise with the Dynatrace platform, including APM, RUM, Synthetic Monitoring, and configuring dashboards and alerts.
  • A strong understanding of observability pillars (Metrics, Traces, Logs) and experience defining SLOs/SLIs.
  • Excellent core BA skills: requirements elicitation, strong stakeholder management, process mapping, and technical documentation, strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small-to-medium-sized technical projects and communicate complex technical ideas to all audiences.
  • A proactive, analytical, and collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills:

  • Dynatrace Associate or Professional Certification.
  • Project management experience
  • Familiarity with modern technology stacks (Cloud Platforms, Containerization, CI/CD, DevOps).
  • Experience with other observability tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience in the Retail or Ecommerce industry.

Join a team that values diverse perspectives and fosters a culture of trust, inclusion, and collaboration. We encourage you to apply and help us drive performance and outcomes in a dynamic environment.

The benefits are good too!

  • We offer flexible working in every sense
  • An exclusive discount card for BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Woolworths, BIG W and other Endeavour Group brands, including our ALH pubs
  • Monthly meeting-free days
  • Your health and wellbeing is your most important asset, and as one of our valued team members, it’s our first priority. You will have a range of free services to help you live well and support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Endeavour Group is full of opportunities - use our dedicated learning and development options to grow an idea, yourself, and your career. This is just the start, so dream big.
