The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join our Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) team (prior AGV experience beneficial but not required) as a Lead Engineer.  The role involves leading a team of engineers and technicians across the Asia Pacific region through professional execution, supporting, mentoring, training and upskilling.

Our head office is based in Belrose (on Sydney’s Northern Beaches), where you will be based from, and also working on sites (around Sydney, interstate and internationally), with a Hybrid working arrangement in support of the greater team.

Responsibilities within Mobile Automation (MA)

  • Lead execution of customer AGV control system upgrades, changes and modifications projects

  • Technical oversight responsibility for quality of execution and service projects

  • Lead execution of customer AGV control system customer support

  • Leading Engineers & Technicians through mentoring, training and upskilling

  • Responsibility for Customer Service technical competency

  • Support of innovation and technical continual improvements

  • Support of servicing continual improvement

  • Proactive planning, monitoring and triage for projects, customer support and condition monitoring.

  • Remote and onsite technical execution of projects, customer support and condition monitoring.

  • Identifying technical and process improvements

  • Lead the MA Service continual improvement program including: analytics, predictive maintenance and product reliability improvements

Tasks and Qualifications:

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Automation

  • Engineering qualification (Controls or Mechatronics)

  • Project planning and delivery experience (including schedule and budget)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Significant technical triage, planning and problem-solving experience

  • Analytics: data collection, analysis and continual improvement implementation experience
