Belron is embarking on an ambitious data strategy programme of work to uplift our data capabilities so we can respond simply and quickly to the needs of our customers and our people.

Our programme aims to improve how and when our people use data, so it informs and shapes our thinking and enables meaningful conversation and decisions, effecting cultural change that enables Belron to be both "data-fit" and "data-driven".

This new role is focused on building our master data management capabilities through the technical development of our platforms, supporting the Master Data Management (MDM) Technical Lead.
 

The Technical Data & Business Analyst will operate at a global level working for the Global Head of Data Governance and Data Management Lead and will:

  • Contribute to the design of the MDM solutions that integrates and matches key data sources in a manner that aligns to Belron’s vision. Working closely with our data architecture and deployment teams to ensure alignment between logical and physical data models.
  • Create the source to target data mapping, create business rules, and support analysis for visibility of master data discrepancies.
  • Develop ideas leading to continual improvement.
  • Validate the logical and physical data models, acting as a ‘gate-keeper’.
  • Create and present robust requirement specification, use cases, user stories, and non-functional requirements.
  • Support the teat lead in the completion of system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support the adoption of the MDM platforms by assisting in the creation of training and other educational material.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leading the technical data analysis work regarding all master data management solutions that Belron is developing.
  • Producing documentation that provide a view on the analysis performed and recommends the best approach for the project considering time, cost, and business objectives.
  • Supporting the implementation of the master data management solutions.
  • Providing technical support in the use of our MDM solutions, specifically the logical and physical data model designs.
  • Supporting in the development of data quality rules, thresholds, and reporting so that we can understand areas of improvement in regards our master data.
  • Fostering the creation of a data-driven culture across Belron.
  • Providing data advisory support to key stakeholders.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert within the organisation and consult with stakeholders to ensure MDM goals and objectives are met.
  • Implementing principles, policies, standards, and guidelines for good data culture
  • Develops and gives presentations on the power and value of data.

COMMUNICATION:

  • Demonstrates the ability to create presentations and deliver them clearly.
  • Influence and educate stakeholders, capturing business needs; understand and define our needs.
  • Coach and develop employees to make use of data and information and the path to becoming a data-driven organisation.

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT AND FUTURE POTENTIAL:

  • Worked within a consultancy environment.
  • Experienced with master data management, reference data management, data integration, data quality and data governance.
  • Ability to analyse data and work directly with business stakeholders to understand the data they use.
  • Familiar with various MDM domains like Customer, Product, Location, and their data models.
  • Demonstrates ambition to grow alongside Belron as we progress our transformation journey.

THE PERSON


Essential

  • Experience of working for a global firm
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical business analyst role.
  • Worked in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of master data management.
  • Data Modelling experience, at least 2 years.
  • Implementation of data management projects.
  • Business analysis methods and techniques.
  • Good analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven track record of effectively communicating outputs from business analysis.
  • Influencing skills and ability to engage both technical and business colleagues to achieve target outcomes.
  • 2 to 3 days per week in our UK Head Office (Egham).
