A Snapshot
As the Technical Program Manager – Controls & Automation, reporting to the Director, Technical – Controls & Automation, you will work closely with AirTrunk’s Product/Design and DC Operations departments, as well as technology vendors throughout APJ, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of non-construction Technical Projects across our DC portfolio, acting as the technical liaison for both internal stakeholders and external customers (via the Service Delivery Team)
- Strategically plan, budget, and execute roll-out of new or updated systems, uplifting existing Production sites to align with new and evolving Product Solutions and Global Minimum Standards to address known operational risks or feature gaps
- Establish and maintain open communication between DC Operations, Product & Design, and external vendors for Problem Management escalation and resolution, capturing lessons learnt and working with the Controls Design Manager to update corresponding Global Minimum Standards updates to minimize and prevent future service impacts
Your Day to Day
- Provide input and remain intimately familiar with all aspects of Control & Automation technical requirements – DCS (BAS/BMS), DDC/PLC, CMS, EPMS, Customer Telemetry, Software Build Guides and Libraries
- Audit existing DDC/PLC, DCS/BMS/CMS and Tridium Niagara applications to assess and document deviations against current state Technical Requirements and Build Guides.
- Generate technical uplift project scope and costing to be raised and approved at IC where budget for engaging vendors is required
- Attend CAB (Change Approval Board) meetings to raise and propose non-construction changes to deploy new or updated systems to Production.
- Attend customer project meetings with Service Delivery Managers, acting as the technical liaison for relevant external customer driven projects such as Telemetry integration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver cross-departmental technical innovation projects involving Controls & Automation technology platforms, including Proof-of-Concept deployments, through to portfolio-wide rollouts.
Requirements
- You have successfully managed and delivered small and large scale DCS/BMS projects for mission-critical environments for 5 years or more
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering
- You are a Tridium Niagara expert with N4 TCP certification
- Strong technical implementation background in DDC/PLC logic, Bacnet/Modbus configuration, ICT/networking and server administration
- Solid understanding of mission critical Data Centre infrastructure such as redundant electrical systems and chilled water plant control strategies
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ASHRAE, BCA, AS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
