As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor, partnering with customers and internal teams to identify business challenges and deliver innovative industrial software solutions. Leveraging Honeywell's Connected Industrial Solutions portfolio, including Advanced Process Control (APC), Asset Performance Management (APM), Digital Twins, Operator Training Simulators, Process Historians, and AI-driven analytics, you will help customers achieve measurable business outcomes and long-term operational value.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role suited to a consultative professional who can confidently engage with stakeholders ranging from plant engineers and operations teams to senior executives, translating technical capabilities into compelling business results.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive pipeline growth and software sales across Australia, New Zealand, and PNG for Honeywell's Connected Industrial Solutions portfolio.
  • Develop digital transformation roadmaps and identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers.
  • Lead customer discovery sessions, value workshops, business assessments, and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Build trusted relationships with Operations, Engineering, IT/OT teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate operational challenges into digital solutions with clear ROI and business outcomes.
  • Support RFPs, proposals, business cases, and complex enterprise software pursuits.
  • Collaborate with Product, Delivery, Cybersecurity, Marketing, and Sales teams to develop and win strategic opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle and support DCS migration opportunities.
  • Manage pipeline forecasting, market feedback, and customer insights to influence strategy and product direction.
  • Represent Honeywell at industry events, conferences, customer forums, and thought leadership activities.

 

Must‑Haves

  • Hands‑on consulting experience in process industries, delivering solution consulting, digital transformation or operational excellence programs.
  • 9+ years of progressive software sales and/or consulting experience.
  • Deep domain knowledge in at least one core vertical — Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Power, or Mining & Metals.
  • Demonstrated experience enabling digitalization through industrial business applications: process historian, production accounting, asset performance management, alarm management, process simulation, Advanced Process Control, Operator Training Simulators.
  • Strong understanding of OT + IT environments — DCS, historians, APC, MES, AI/ML, operations management, cloud / edge data platforms, cybersecurity for industrial systems.
  • Ability to lead customer workshops from Day 1 — discovery, value mapping, master planning and executive read‑outs.
  • Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable digital solutions and quantified business cases.
  • Executive‑level communication skills, comfortable engaging plant leadership and C‑level executives.
  • Proven experience operating in regional, multi‑cultural customer environments across Asia Pacific, with a clear grasp of the market and competitive landscape.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across the region.

  • Knowledge of sustainability and decarbonization initiatives, including energy efficiency and emissions reduction programs.
  • Strong value-selling and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate business outcomes and ROI.
  • Experience engaging C-level stakeholders and influencing complex enterprise software deals.
  • Background in industrial consulting, digital transformation, or operational excellence programs.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development (NPV, IRR, TCO).
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and manage multiple regional opportunities simultaneously.
