We’re looking for people to join the Access family, who share our passion for believing in better, and who will help us continue to grow.

Love Work. Love Life. Be You. - is central to our success and how we give our customers the freedom to do more of what's important to them.

What does Access offer you?

We offer a blended approach to office working, encouraging you to collaborate and connect in one of our thriving offices. We deliver on what we say, taking the development of our people seriously. We’ll work with you to progress your success plan and provide opportunities to accelerate your career.

About you:

We are looking for a technically skilled and commercially minded Technical Solutions Consultant to join the Accountants division at Access Group. In this role you will partner directly with our sales teams to deliver compelling, customised product demonstrations and technical solutions that help accounting firms across Australia and New Zealand visualise the art of the possible.

You will work across our core product portfolio including Access Practice Management (APM) built on the Salesforce platform, Access EVO, Compliance among others. You will be responsible for building and maintaining demonstration environments in Salesforce, configuring flows, approval workflows and custom scenarios that bring our solutions to life for prospects and customers.

This role is perfect for someone who loves technology, enjoys solving problems in front of people and wants to learn how AI helps businesses. We’ll teach you our products, but you will need to have strong Salesforce skills and curiosity about how new technologies can help accounting firms.

Day-to-day, you will be focused on:

  • Solution Demonstration and Storytelling: Design and deliver high-impact, tailored product demonstrations to prospects and customers that showcase the full capability of the Access Evo Platform and Accountants Division solutions.
  • Demo Environment Build and Management: Create, configure and maintain Salesforce based demo environments for Access APM, including custom objects, flows, approval workflows, dashboards, reports and sample data sets, ensuring demo environments are current, reliable and tailored to specific prospect segments.
  • Technical Discovery and Solution Design: Partner with Business Development Managers and Account Executives to conduct technical discovery with prospects, developing solution architectures and recommendations that map Access products to customer needs, and present these back clearly in workshops, whiteboarding sessions and formal proposals.
  • AI Capability Enablement: Demonstrate AI-powered use cases to prospects including intelligent advisory workflows, automated compliance checks, and agent-driven task automation. Staying current on AI developments within the Access platform and across the broader market and feed insights back into the Presales playbook.
  • Sales Partnership and Deal Support: Support the sales team throughout the entire sales process. Joining discovery calls, answer technical questions in proposals, helping build proof of concepts and explain why our solutions are better than competitors.
  • Product Feedback and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Product Management, Engineering and Customer Success to provide structured feedback on product gaps, feature requests and competitive intelligence gathered from prospect and customer engagement.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Enablement: Building and maintaining a library of reusable demo scripts, environment templates and best-practice guides. Sharing knowledge across the Presales team to improve capability and consistency. Supporting sales enablement – training BDMs and Account Executives on products, competition and effective demonstration techniques.

Your skills and experiences might also include:

  • Hands on Salesforce experience – you can set up custom fields, create workflows, build reports and configure the system. Ability to build demo environments on your own. Salesforce Admin certification preferred, other Salesforce certifications are a bonus.
  • At least 3 years Presales and Solution Engineering experience within a technical Presales, solution engineering or consulting role within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
  • Excellence at explaining technical concepts to any audience – from CEOs to technical teams. You are able to bring demos to life by telling compelling stories, not just showing features.
  • A genuine interest in AI and how it helps businesses. You’ve used tools like Claude, Copilot or other AI assistants. We’ll teach you Access EVO Navigator and Agent Builder on the job, but you should understand basic AI concepts and be able to explain AI benefits to customers in simple terms.
  • Accounting experience is a bonus but not essential. Understanding how accounting firms operate and their software needs will help you hit the ground running.
  • The ability to explain how our software connects with other business tools like tax software, document systems and reporting tools. You will be comfortable drawing out solutions and discussing how different systems work together.
  • Knowing that your job is to help win sales. You can read the room, adjust your demo based on how people react and focus on the biggest opportunities. Experience with sales processes like MEDDPICC is helpful.
  • A love of learning about new products and technologies. You actively seek training and certifications. You have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-changing environment where you need to stay up to date.
