As an IT Business Analyst you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the development team, capturing and documenting business requirements to drive technology improvements including AI. You’ll work with stakeholders to deliver solutions, support agile processes and identify opportunities to enhance business performance through technology and process improvements. Your proactive approach will help ensure successful project outcomes and support the growth of EML.
This will be a full time, fixed term 12-month contract (with the view to be made permanent) based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture, document and analyse detailed business requirements, process maps and data for complex systems, including AI.
- Lead discovery activities, including facilitating workshops, to construct business requirements and support business case completion.
- Identify and propose opportunities to enhance business performance through technology, AI tools and process improvements.
- Support agile development processes, including facilitating user acceptance testing and providing expertise on software capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met and system integrity is maintained across all project phases.
- Drive internal initiatives and support change management by providing expert business analysis and guidance to stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
- At least 3 years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst role within a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work proactively and collaboratively.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies, including tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Experience or exposure to AI concepts and technologies is highly regarded.
- Ability to support change management and contribute to internal initiatives within a high-performing team.
