Position Summary
The Tech and Data Lead will be responsible for driving the organization's technology strategy and data initiatives. This role will ensure organisation's technology stack supports the goals defined. This includes ownership of core platforms such as CRM, Portfolio management systems, data platforms ensuring they are robust, integrated, and aligned with business goals. Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders across IT, legal, compliance, HR, and business units to enable trusted and compliant data usage. Partner with finance, operations, marketing, product and executive leadership to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making and innovation.
This role can be located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of core technology, applications and platforms.
- Oversee and optimize CRM systems, portfolio systems, data platform ensuring data integrity, user adoption and system efficiency.
- Working with Focus Financial Partners and ensure compliance with best practices in cybersecurity, privacy and data protection.
- Lead, mentor, and scale teams within the technology domain.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, software and cloud solutions to improve scalability, automation and performance.
- Translate complex technology findings into clear, actionable insights and visualization for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data Strategy & Management
- Oversee and collaborate with teams within and across FFP and is responsible for data analysis, data engineering, reporting, and business intelligence to drive data-driven decision making and actionable insights.
- Manage technology and data project lifecycles from concept to delivery, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.
- Ensure data is collected, structured and governed effectively across all systems.
- Standardize key metrics and data definitions to ensure consistency, security, and integrity of critical data.
CRM & Other system Ownership
- Serve as the primary owner of the organization's CRM and other systems by managing configuration, upgrades and enhancements.
- Partner with internal teams and FFP to see reusability of data models, workflows, automation and reporting capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee user training and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related field.
- Proven experience managing and integrating CRM and other systems.
- Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS etc.) and data tools (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between A$260,000-$290,000 + super. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
