Our team is responsible for managing the development tools for the company. The TechOps Engineer role is critical, being the first point of contact for internal users experiencing technical issues or specific requests related to our dev tools and systems. This position requires excellent communication skills, rigour, organisation, strong attention to detail, and commitment to effective problem resolution.

Your future role within QRT

  • Receive requests, log tickets and Support our Atlassian Suite, Gitlab and Artifactory tools
  • Sort and classify tasks based on urgency, type (data requests, bugs, new features), and complexity to ensure efficient workflow management
  • Redirect tickets to the appropriate teams for specialized intervention where required
  • Provide initial responses and basic troubleshooting solutions to users, according to established procedures for our dev tools
  • Monitor the progress of tickets and ensure user satisfaction by verifying that all queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Participate in the updating and improvement of internal knowledge bases and documentation
  • Gradually increase technical and operational knowledge to enhance autonomy in issues management through in role training
  • Work closely with research and trading teams to deeply understand data needs and technical challenges
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes, improve security metrics, and support operational requirements
  • Architect and design Jira configurations, workflows, and integrations to optimise project management (Jira, JSD, Confluence configuration)

Your present skillset

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a support role.
  • Be rigorous and organised
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Basic knowledge of ticket management systems like JIRA
  • Experience of supporting Gitlab and Artifactory would be a benefit.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • An interest in the financial sector and the ability to quickly learn industry specific technical concepts is preferable
