Job Description

As Telco Solutions Lead, you will be responsible for shaping and governing end‑to‑end technology solutions across complex telecommunications environments, with a strong focus on BSS/OSS transformation. This role leads solution architecture from strategy through to delivery, ensuring that business objectives are translated into coherent, scalable, and executable technology designs.

You will define target and interim architectures, solution roadmaps, and transition states for large‑scale modernisation programs, including legacy system replacement and phased migration. Working closely with senior business, IT, and delivery stakeholders, you will provide architectural direction across core telco domains such as CRM, product modelling, CPQ, billing, order management, inventory, integration, and service assurance.

The role acts as the design authority for BSS/OSS solutions, governing designs produced by internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, industry frameworks, and long‑term platform strategy. You will apply TM Forum frameworks pragmatically to drive consistency, reduce duplication, and improve time to market while balancing architectural rigour with delivery realities.

As a senior leader, you will guide and mentor architects, business analysts, and domain specialists, support Agile and hybrid delivery models, and contribute to vendor selection, RFP processes, and executive‑level decision making. This is a highly influential role requiring deep domain expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate confidently at CIO and executive forums.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading solution architecture in telecommunications, with deep exposure to BSS/OSS environments
  • Proven track record delivering large‑scale transformation programs, including legacy modernisation and system migration
  • Strong domain expertise across billing, product catalogues, CRM, CPQ, order‑to‑activate, usage‑to‑payment, and integration
  • Demonstrated experience defining target architectures, transition roadmaps, and design governance models
  • Practical knowledge of TM Forum frameworks (TAM, eTOM, SID, ODA) and their application in real delivery environments
  • Comfortable acting as design authority, reviewing and approving vendor and delivery team designs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders and CIO‑level stakeholders
  • Experience working with system integrators and technology vendors in complex, multi‑vendor landscapes
  • Consulting or large‑scale transformation background highly regarded
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification desirable
