Thales objectives are to be an active and recognised partner for the development of infrastructure in Japan and to cooperate with Japanese companies in the export market for defence, transportation, aerospace, space and security.

Summary:

This is a sales position focused on selling Thales Telecom solutions and IOT solutions into existing and new accounts, mainly focusing on business development from the scratch as a technical sales. The role will be required to locate, qualify, propose, and close deals in an effective and efficient manner by co-working with architects, pre-sales engineers, marketing and product teams as well as the local stakeholders. Applicant must have an ability to understand business and technical needs, and map Thales technologies to those business needs will be the key to your success.
The ideal candidate must have a strong telecom’s solution sales background and be capable of technical selling direct to customers or in some cases through partner and resellers. Experience in Cloud and/or IOT solution or cyber security will be added advantage.

Primary Responsibilities: 
•    Manage and close sales opportunities with Thales account managers through accurate forecasting, account and opportunity planning, account resource allocation and opportunity management. 
•    Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Thales solutions and associated technologies 
•    Build solution pricing and proposal based on inputs from pre-sales solution architect and product team.
•    Prepare and present answer to RFI, RFQ, RFP and PoC with collaboration of internal stake holders such as account managers, pre-sales solution architect and product team.
•    To work closely with senior resources in the organisation to identify, establish business opportunities and convert prospects into sales.
•    Reaching and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.
•    Develop and maintain competitive knowledge on industries and products with marketing and product teams to leverage in the sales cycle Solution selling to the Executive Suite. Collaborate with the Sales team on sales strategy and optimization. 

Job Qualifications: 
•    Proven ability to manage sales cycle technically and commercially, with a track record of successful revenue attainment. 
•    Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills both in Japanese and English. 
•    Ability to follow a standard approach to selling to maximize efficiency and results.
•    Confident, assertive, great attitude, strong organizational skills, and a self-starter with teamwork mind-set. 
•    Understand technology and telecom solution selling.
 
Required Experience: 

•    Strong telecom’s solution sales track record with 5+ years of proven experience. 
•    Strong understanding of Telecom infrastructure including server and network.
•    Experienced in selling direct and through/with partners. 
•    Proven track record selling Telecom solutions to leading MNOs/MVNOs. 
•    Experience in IOT and/or Cloud solution or cyber security will be added advantage.
•    English fluent
