We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Automation Test Lead to drive both functional and non-functional testing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in Selenium, CI/CD pipeline integration via Azure DevOps, JMeter, and Azure Monitor, along with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, balances multiple priorities with ease, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software through continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Testing (Functional):

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for functional testing using Azure DevOps.

  • Execute regression suites for every release cycle and ensure timely feedback.

  • Identify automation opportunities by engaging with business stakeholders.

  • Drive automation initiatives across teams and applications.

Non-Functional Testing:

  • Design and execute performance, load, and stress tests using JMeter.

  • Configure and utilize Azure Monitor for performance metrics and diagnostics.

  • Set up CI/CD pipelines for non-functional testing across all applications.

  • Analyse performance results and provide actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with tools like BlazeMeter, Neo Load, and Splunk is a plus.

Other Attributes:

  • Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate automated tests.

  • Communicate test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders effectively.

  • Collaborate with functional and non-functional testers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Support production incidents by quickly analysing issues and contributing to resolution.

  • Maintain readiness to execute regression suites and validate hotfixes or emergency releases.

  • Lead and mentor a team of testers across functional and non-functional domains.

  • Promote best practices in automation and performance testing.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance testing culture.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, implementing refinements to testing practices, and leveraging feedback to enhance quality and delivery over time.

This is a Permanent role.

Your team

You will be part of Enterprise Testing Services Team. The team drives testing for various IT projects and programs at the bank and specialise in test automation uplift or transformation initiatives across the bank by collaborating with different IT areas to instil automation standards and best practices.
