The Textiles Designer will create original textile prints, manage multiple tasks, liaise with teams, and research trends, while working independently.

We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Textiles Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and developing textile prints across all product categories.
Salary 90k + super per annum
Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret a design brief provided by internal stakeholders while adding their personal creativity
- Undertake the appropriate product / textile research in order to produce the requirements of the design brief
- Responsible for the creation of original textile prints
- Set up artworks for factory hand over via sketches, smaples, plans and models
- Liaise with design and production team on artwork, layout dimensions and colour selections
- Manage workload of multiple tasks on a daily basis from two different teams
- Internal brand and packaging development
- Create repeat and placement prints
- Print layering
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in textile development
- Advanced skills working with Mac and the Adobe CS. Specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design
- Confidence to work in a stand alone position whilst managing own workload and deadlines
- Quick and efficient worker
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Eye for detail and current trends
- Excellent communication and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
- Experience within the apparel / fashion business
